PORT HURON, Mich. - There was nothing to choose between Great Lakes Christian College women's soccer and St. Clair County Community College on Wednesday, the two teams playing out a 1-1 draw.
Hailey Conine put Great Lakes ahead in the 36th minute with an unassisted goal, but SC4 responded with an equalizer in the 43rd to square things at the break.
St. Clair kept the pressure on the second half, but Katarzyna "Cash" Polek kept the hosts at bay, making five of her nine saves after halftime. Great Lakes also had their fair share of opportunities, but could not capitalize and both teams were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw.
GLCC took 13 shots to SC4's 18 and put eight on frame.
Great Lakes will face Lincoln Christian on the road on Friday at 5:00 p.m.
