Great Lakes Christian College Crusaders Earn First Win of the Season

In a NCCAA matchup on November 13, 2024, the Great Lakes Christian College Crusaders secured their first win of the season with a 62-56 victory over NAIA Trinity Christian College at DeVos Gymnasium in Palos Heights, Illinois. The Crusaders were led by senior Devan Buda, whose career-high 27 points were instrumental in the win.

Buda was an offensive powerhouse throughout the game, shooting 11-of-20 from the field, including 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. 

Alongside Buda, Marin Abe contributed 14 points, including three made three-pointers, while MyKenzie Kent secured 6 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. The Crusaders outrebounded Trinity Christian 39-44. Jamira Shumpert added crucial minutes and secured rebounds at key moments.

The Crusaders controlled the game on both ends, forcing 19 turnovers from the Trolls.
