Women's Basketball with regular season sweep of Kuyper
The Great Lakes Christian College Women's Basketball Team fought through injuries and foul trouble to win a huge regional game against Kuyper College last night 66-56.
The Crusaders finished the first quarter with a slim 15-12 lead, they ended the first half up 33-22 and outscored Kuyper College 17-14 in the 3rd quarter and held on for the 10 point win.
Randi Fitzgerald led the team with 22 points, including 8-9 from the free throw line.
Leah Yanco collected 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Mykenzie Kent had her 4th double-double in a row with 13 points and 19 rebounds.
Makensie Mondy added 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The Crusaders are at home Friday February 9th with a 5 pm tip-off and will be honoring Sr.'s on Senior Night.
Their record is now 11-9.
