LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball closed out their season at home on Sunday, losing 83-52 to Finlandia.
The visitors dominated the first quarter, opening the game on a 10-0 run and leading 22-9 after 10 minutes. Great Lakes responded with an 8-0 run in the second quarter, cutting the deficit to 35-26 at halftime.
Finlandia's offense proved too much for GLCC in the second half, as they outscored the hosts 48-26 in the third and fourth quarters.
Allazae Lloyd and Sakura Nakano led Great Lakes with 15 points apiece, Lloyd added four steals and Nakano seven assists.
Katie Lundeed led all scorers with 32 points, many of which came off Carsyn Osterman's 16 assists. Maija Rice added 16 off the bench and Bailey Froberg scored 12. Finlandia dominated the boards, outrebounding Great Lakes 52-22.
GLCC will now head off to regionals, where they will be the five-seed and face four-seed Johnson (Tenn.) in the play-in game at Grace Christian University on February 24.
