LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball ran out of gas against Lincoln Christian University on Friday, faltering down the stretch en route to a 67-51 defeat.
GLCC led after the first quarter, a 9-0 run propelling them to an early advantage. The defensive battle continued into the second, which saw both teams lead and the home team take a 27-24 lead to halftime.
Lincoln's offense picked up steam in the second half as the short Great Lakes bench began to tire. LCU took the reins, leading 46-37 after three and cruising in the fourth, building a double-digit lead to claim a comfortable win.
Allazae Lloyd led GLCC with 19 points while Randi Fitzgerald added 13. Mystic Striker collected 13 rebounds to go with her seven points.
Savana Powell-Goodman paced Lincoln with 19 points, picking up a double-double with 11 boards. Jocelyn Hall grad 16 rebounds to lead her team and secured a double-double of her own with 14 points.
Great Lakes will close its regular season on Sunday against Finlandia at home.
