WYOMING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball continues to struggle to shake off its losing streak, losing 84-68 at Grace Christian University on Tuesday.
Grace jumped out to a double-digit lead early and led Great Lakes 20-12 through one quarter. GLCC chipped away in the second, Allazae Lloyd's last second transition bucket trimming the deficit to 37-36 by halftime.
Grace slowly opened the game back up in the third, taking a nine-point lead to the fourth. They took advantage when Great Lakes' offense dried up early in the final quarter, extending their lead to 20 and closing out the win.
Lloyd led all scorers with 24 points and Sakura Nakano added 20 for GLCC. Mystic Striker ended up with a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds. Great Lakes forced 18 steals as a team, led by Randi Fitzgerald's six.
Ashlyn Wilkes led Grace with 20 points, followed by Emily Libey's 18. Grace dominated the boards, out-rebounding GLCC 50-31, led by Ashley Hoek's 22 boards. Hoek also scored 12 points and blocked four shots.
Great Lakes will face Lincoln Christian at home on February 12.
