LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball could not hold their halftime lead against Campbellsville Harrodsburg, losing 76-64 on Saturday.
The two teams traded the lead in the first quarter, and a 9-3 run in the final five minutes saw Great Lakes ahead 34-26 at halftime.
It did not take long for Harrdosburg to undo the damage, however, as they launched a 13-4 run to take the lead back in the third. THe visitors ripped off 28 points in the third, taking a 54-51 lead to the fourth.
Harrodsburg continued to build its lead in the fourth, pushing their lead into double-digits and not letting GLCC get closer than six as they held on to win.
Mystic Striker scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Sakura Nakano scored 16 and Randi Fitzgerald scored 15.
Jaden Douthit picked up a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds for Harrodsburg. Oriona Woods led the team with 24 points and Makala Smith grabbed 11 boards.
Great Lakes will next face Grace Christian on the road on February 1.
