LINCOLN, Ill. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball is still looking for answers as its losing streak extended in a 68-50 loss to Lincoln Christian on Saturday.
Lincoln scored the first 11 points of the game and led by 10 at the end of the first, but Great Lakes fought back and cut the lead to four by halftime, 26-22.
Lincoln held their lead in the third and took off in the fourth, scoring 28 in the final quarter to pull away for the win.
Sakura Nakano and Careya Pace led GLCC with 12 points apiece, Nakano also picking up six assists and three steals. Allazae Lloyd scored 10 and Mystic Striker led with eight rebounds. GLCC committed 28 turnovers in teh game and shot 19/62 (30.2%) from the floor.
Mikayla Smith led Lincoln with 19 points. Leah Yanko scored 18 and Savana Powell-Goodma picked up a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Great Lakes will return home to face Grace Christian on Wednesday.
