LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball were outclassed on the road on Tuesday, losing 65-30 to Spring Arbor.
Both teams struggled on offense in the first quarter and GLCC lead 9-7 after the first 10 minutes. Spring Arbor opened it up in the second quarter, however, scoring 28 points to take a commanding 35-21 lead into halftime.
Things didn't get better for Great Lakes in the second half, as they scored only two points in the third quarter for the second time this season. SAU outscored GLCC 30-9 in the second half and rolled to a home win.
Great Lakes shot 13-of-51 (25.5%) and one-of-seven from three (14.3%) while turning the ball over 33 times. Mystic Striker had her most efficient game of the season, scoring 13 on five-of-12 shooting. Lailah Dixon grabbed 14 boards and scored eight points.
Grace Shoobridge led Spring Arbor with 15 and Taylor Folkema scored 11 off the bench. The team shot 28/72 (38.9%) overall and 5/26 (19.2%) from beyond the arc.
GLCC will take on Manhattan Christian on a road trip on Saturday.
