WYOMING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College men's soccer will be looking for some answers after a 13-0 drubbing at the hands of Grace Christian University on Tuesday.
Grace wasted absolutely no time, scoring 23 seconds in and adding two more by the end of the third minute. They increased their lead to 5-0 by 10 minutes in and 7-0 by the halfway point of the first half.
GLCC stemmed the tide a bit late in the first, giving up one goal in 25 minutes, but Grace went right back to work in the second, adding five more to push the final result to a resounding 13-0.
Nine Grace players scored, led by braces from Brett Arnold, Zak TerMeer, Payton Jeltema and Johann Vega. 25 different players appeared for Grace in the game.
Great Lakes took only three shots, with Caleb Yonker testing the keeper once. Grace took 41 shots, forcing 17 saves from GLCC's goalkeepers.
Michael Wetzel, Zach Johnson and McCray Wenger were all booked in the game for Great Lakes, as were Jeltema and Dylan DeVries.
GLCC will be on home to Tuesday to take on Farhaven Baptist. GLCC won 6-0 in their first matchup on Sept. 16.
