LINCOLN, Ill. - Great Lakes Christian College men's soccer couldn't get anything going on the road against Lincoln Christian University on Saturday, losing 6-0.
Peyton Vinyard put the home side ahead in the 24th minute and a pair of goals from Mason Thompson right before halftime gave LCU a commanding 3-0 lead at the break.
Thompson continued to roll in the second with two more goals for Lincoln and Vinyard added one more late to make the final score 6-0.
Zach Johnson was the only player from GLCC to test Lincoln goalkeeper Josiah Smith, who finished with the clean sheet. Alexzander Walker made seven saves for Great Lakes.
Great Lakes will be in action next at Grace Christian on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
