LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College JV men's basketball continued its winning streak on Sunday, knocking off Northwood University's JV squad 76-70.
The game followed a familiar script for GLCC, as they went on a 19-3 run to end the first half and led by as many as 16 in the second before Northwood came charging back.
A 12-1 run for the visitors cut the lead to three, but Great Lakes—true to form—clamped down and rebuilt a double-digit lead to hold on for their fourth-straight win, all by 10 points or less.
Jalen Johnson led all scorers with 24 points. Larry McClean scored 19 and grabbed nine rebounds. GLCC only shot 28/76 from the floor (36.8%), but collected 20 offensive boards and took nine more shots than their opponents.
Devonte Allen picked up a double-double for Northwood with 11 rebounds and 17 points on 4/12 (33.3%) shooting.
Great Lakes will next face Grace Christian on the road on Wednesday night.
