LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College JV men's basketball picked up its third straight win on Wednesday, defeating Grace Christian University 76-69.
GLCC jumped in front, building a double-digit lead in the first 10 minutes. Grace responded by outscoring Great Lakes 24-11 in the rest of the period, a Nathan Blasko three-pointer tying the game at 38 going into the break.
Great Lakes took the lead again early in the second half, but couldn't build a lead bigger than seven. Grace finally tied the game again, 61-61, with 6:31 left. However, GLCC's defense clamped down, holding GCU to one basket over the next 5:45, allowing them to build back a nine-point lead, their largest of the half, to close out the win.
Larry McClean led all scorers with 22 and Javion Williams grabbed a double-double off the bench with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Ethan Clason scored 20 for Grace and Micah Cramer added 13.
Great Lakes will return to action on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the Doty Center against Northwood.
