JOPLIN, Mo. - Great Lakes Christian College men's basketball followed up its NCCAA DII semifinal loss with a 79-72 loss to Manhattan Christian College in the tournament third-place game on Saturday.
Great Lakes opened up a nine-point lead in the first half but Manhattan came back, taking the lead briefly before giving it back to GLCC before halftime.
MCC started the second half with a 14-3 run to take a double-digit lead, increasing it to 16 as the half wore on. GLCC never got closer than the final margin of seven as Manhattan Christian claimed third in the tournament.
MCC's Jordan Marshall led all scorers with 16. Kylan Shipp led Great Lakes with 13 and Jahmal Eggleston scored 12.
