Men's Basketball beats #8 Grace on the road
WYOMING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College men's basketball made it two in a row against their cross-state rivals at Grace Christian University, winning 99-86 on Tuesday.
Unlike their first meeting, where GLCC spotted Grace a 17-0 lead, Great Lakes got off to a good start in round two, taking a 47-38 lead into halftime. The second half saw them continue their offensive dominance, scoring 52 points and extending the lead into double-digits to stay perfect in-region.
TQ Belcher had another impressive performance off the bench, scoring 24 to lead Great Lakes. Trent Temple and Kylan Shipp both scored 14 and Jaivon Felton grabbed nine rebounds while adding nine points.
Eli Carlson also scored 24 off the bench to lead Grace, while Parker Neu scored 14 and Kellum Bridgeforth contributed 13. Jarius Shumpert also picked up nine rebounds and nine points. Grace turned the ball over 23 times to GLCC's nine turnovers.
GLCC will host Andrews on Thursday at 7:00 at the Doty Center.
