Men's Basketball retires Ja'Quin Jones' number at Doty
LANSING, Mich. - Before the men's basketball game against Campbellsville Harrodsburg on Saturday, Great Lakes Christian College retured the number of former men's basketball player Ja'Quin Jones.
Jones, who wore number 10 for Great Lakes from 2017-2020, was one of the program's most prolific players. He was named to the all-region and all-American teams for NCCAA DII basketball twice in his career and was a finalist for the Maravich Award.
Jones helped lead Great Lakes to two national tournament berths, including a national championship game appearance in 2018.
He ranks in the top 12 in program history in points (1,400, 8th), rebounds (369, 12th) and assists (243, 9th).
He graduated from GLCC in 2020 with his B.S. in Communications and Theology. He currently works as the recruiting coordinator for athletics, gameday manager and JV men's basketball coach.
