LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Great Lakes Christian College men's basketball stayed undefeated in regional play on Friday with an 83-71 win over Welch College at the Robert E. Picirilli Classic at Boyce College.
Great Lakes held a narrow 37-35 advantage at halftime, but opened up the offense in the second half, building a double-digit lead and moving to 5-0 in-region.
Trent Temple led all scorers with 21 points on 9/12 shooting. TQ Belcher once again led GLCC on the glass with eight rebounds to go with 13 points. Kylan Shipp contibuted 15 points. Defensively, Great Lakes forced 25 turnovers, which led to 17 more shot attempts than Welch.
JC Chapman's 16 points paced Welch. Spencer Smith scored 14 and picked up five steals.
Great Lakes will wrap up the Classic by taking on host Welch on Saturday.
