LOUISVILLE, Ken. - Great Lakes Christian College women's soccer beat Trinity Baptist in the national tournament in the afternoon and men's basketball ran it back in the evening on Thursday, knocking off TBC 93-64 at the NCCAA Early Season Classic hosted by Boyce College.
Great Lakes' offense went to work early, outpacing Trinity in the first half with 52 points to take a 13-point lead into the break.
In the second half, the defense took over, holding TBC to 25 points in the final 20 minutes as GLCC built its lead and sealed the win.
Six different players scored in double digits for Great Lakes, led by Trent Temple's 16 off the bench. Great Lakes dominated the boards, grabbing 51 rebounds to Trinity's 23.
Marc-Joubert Maisonnet led Trinity with 11 points.
Great Lakes will play one more game at the Classic, facing Toccoa Falls on Saturday at 1:00.
