LANSING, Mich. - Great Lakes Christian College men's basketball closed the William Westerlund Memorial Classic with a second win on Saturday, 103-55 over Emmaus Bible College.
Great Lakes jumped out to a big lead early and never looked back, doubling up the visitors 50-25 at halftime.
In the second half, GLCC played a deep bench but still kept the pressure on, continuing to build its lead as 14 players got on the score sheet in a rout.
Great Lakes had an impressive shooting performance, making 40 of 72 field goals (55.6%) and 14 of 31 three-point attempts (48.3%). Defensively, they forced 25 turnovers while only give up five themselves. Emmaus shot 23/68 (33.8%) in the game and 6/28 (21.4%) from deep.
Four GLCC players scored in double digits and Kylan Shipp led Great Lakes with 14 points off the bench. Steven Petkau paced Emmaus with 14.
Great Lakes will be back in the Doty Center on Tuesday at 7:00, facing Ohio Christian.
