MBB Cruise in Opening Round of Regionals
LOUISVILLE, Kent. - Men's Basketball opened up regionals against the 7th seeded Appalachian Bible. This was the first meeting between the Crusaders and Warriors this season. The Crusaders jumped early on the Warriors and never looked back. The Crusaders built a 57-29 half time lead over the ABC. GLCC used their pressure and up tempo offense to build there lead over the Warriors. It was a balanced effort in the first half for GLCC.
In the second half the Crusaders continued their strong run of play against the Warriors. Isiah Reed needed 21 points to surpass Darin Magley to become the all time leading scorer for Great Lakes, Reed hit a wing three to break the school record midway through the second half to give himself the record. Reed now stands at 1,897 career points. GLCC had everyone who played score today including six in double figures. GLCC would go onto win 104-63.

- GLCC shot 51 percent from the floor compared to ABC's 35 percent.
- ABC went 11/35 from three compared to GLCC 10/32
- GLCC dished out 24 assists
- Crusaders turned over the Warriors for a season high 29 turnovers
- Isaiah Gambrell registered his first double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the victory.

"Really happy for our guys today. I thought we did a lot of things well defensively and I thought we did a good job playing with pace today. This is the first step to our journey on this playoff run. We know it is a one game season so we are happy to extend our season." On Isiah Reed becoming all time leading scorer, "Isiah has accomplished so much so this is no surprise, he's set the bar so high. He has kept pushing this program farther. I'm so proud of him. He's worked hard for this, his commitment to his craft, to winning, to our program is special. Players make the coach and he's made me look really good for a long time."
