Crusaders Hot Shooting Leads to Victory
LINCOLN, Ill. - Great Lakes Men's Basketball team came out of the gates quick against Lincoln Christian University. The Crusaders came into the game, winners of four straight and were determined to keep the streak alive. The Crusaders came out to a blistering start shooting 62 percent from the floor and from three. The play of the game happened from an alley oop between Kevin Wright and Trent Temple. Temple came out of nowhere for massive two hand jam that electrified the building. The Crusaders scored a season high 57 points at the half. Lincoln Christian though was able to score 42 points of their own and stayed close enough to touch in the first half.
In the second half the Crusaders started fast again as they saw their lead balloon to as much as 30 points. GLCC would hit a season high 16 threes. Isiah Reed, TQ Belcher, and Whitney Harris hit 14 of the 16 threes for the Crusaders. Every Crusaders scored during the game. Crusaders hot shooting continued in the second half. GLCC would cruise to a 112-82 victory over the Red Lions. Isiah Reed led the Crusaders in scoring with 23 points, while four other Crusaders reached double figures.

"This was a great win for our program. I am really proud of our guys. We did a tremendous job sharing the basketball today. I saw a lot of really positive things with player and ball movement today. We are really special team when we play for each other. We have to clean up some things defensively, but I am really proud of the effort our guys showed today. We have to continue to focus on changing our best. This was a total team effort today."
