Director of Athletics Richard Westerlund and the Great Lakes Christian College Athletic Department is thrilled to welcome Dr. David Pohl to the GLCC family. Dr. Pohl will serve as the Team Physician for GLCC athletics. Dr. Pohl grew up in Bloomfield Hills, but has always been connected to the Greater Lansing area. Dr. Pohl earned his undergraduate BS in Human Biology from Michigan State University, and went on to Medical school at MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. 
 
Pohl did his Family Medicine residency back in the Detroit area, at St. John Providence in Warren. He then went on to complete his Sports Medicine Fellowship at Advocate Lutheran General in Park Ridge, IL, where he had to the opportunity to be a Team Physician for the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC) and Maine West High School.  After training Dr. Pohl worked in Buffalo Grove, IL, practicing Primary Care and Sports Medicine. There he was a Team Physician for Harper Community College (Palatine, IL). Dr. Pohl is also currently a US Soccer Network Physician, working with the U14-17 men's and women's teams for both domestic and international competitions.
