"It is an honor to be appointed as the new Director of Athletics and have an opportunity to continue to grow athletics in a mission-focused institute of higher learning like GLCC," said Sibilski, "I thank President Weller and his team for providing me with this unique opportunity to lead the Athletic Department and make a positive impact on our student athletes. I look forward to getting started."
Richard Westerlund said this about Sibilski, "Coach Sam is ready for the opportunity to lead. He believes in the mission of the college and he has deep care for the student athletes, and creating a positive student athlete experience. I am excited to see how he will continue to grow the athletic department and take GLCC athletics to new heights. He has magnetism about him that will continue to push GLCC athletics to being an ELITE athletic department. I couldn't be more excited for Sam in his new role."
Sibilski succeeds Richard Westerlund who was recently named Head Men's Basketball Coach at the University of Northwestern Ohio. Great Lakes Christian College competes in Division II of the National Christian College Athletic Association.
